Railway Bridge in fogI am always working on photography projects some I have had running for years like Decline and Doors. I know, everyone takes pictures of doors so much so that it’s become a cliché, but then I reckon talking about photography clichés has become a cliché and I love my doors and that’s all that matters.

A short project I did was to take a picture a day for 30 days on my iPad. That was fun and a challenge as I wanted it to be a collection of a captured instant in day. I ended up making a fold out book of the images.

Then there are the Bridges. I live in a town that has an old road and a railway bridge and they are a constant source of photographic images waiting to be taken.

  1. Hello Alan and welcome. There seems to be a lot of photographers who are not interested in clubs what I have done is to create an informal photography group. No members, meetings or competitions just getting together at our local coffee shop, the owner is a photographer, chatting and sharing. It works well and we all support each other. Anyway it was good to hear from you and thank you for your kind words.

  2. Hello Barbara. I am pleased to have found your blog having just read a response from you about ‘camera clubs’ on Cole Thompson’s site and I have to concur with your thoughts. I shall look forward to seeing more of your excellent work in the future. Alan.
